March Exhibit and "Make It and Take It" Event at the Castro Valley Library

The Phoebes have been honored once again to be invited by the Castro Valley Library to install an exhibit of some of our dolls in the entrance showcase. It will run for the entire month of March.

On March 4, we also conducted another "Make it and Take it" day with all library patrons invited to attend. We supplied stump dolls, polymer clay faces, and a multitude of embellishments for participants to use in making their very own one-of-a-kind dolls. Again, as in past years, the turn-out of approximately 100 adults and children was impressive.

Check out all the photos in this post of the exhibit and some of the happy doll-makers who attended on March 4. A big thanks to all the Phoebes who volunteered their time, and all those who answered the call to make additional clay faces. And, a special thanks to Suzanne for taking the wonderful photos. We really appreciate everyone's help in making this event such a success!

Jennifer is shown helping these girls find wonderful treasures in the embellishment bins to put on their dolls.

As you can see participants included mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, and Marcella enjoyed lending a helping hand.

Bonnie was on hot glue gun duty and glued the chosen polymer heads on the dolls.

Diane and Bonnie are shown with some of the many colorful heads Phoebes made for the dolls.

So cute to see fathers and little ones making dolls together.

Happy doll makers are pictured below, proudly showing off their creations. A lot of fun was had by all, including the Phoebes!
